Let’s Encrypt SSL/TLS Wildcard Certificates

EDIS provides Let’s Encrypt wildcard certificates for your domain and its subdomains. They replace the previous single-domain certificates at no additional charge.

Existing single-domain certificates are reissued as wildcard certificates at the next automatic renewal. You can also start the free reissue immediately in the management portal.

Let’s Encrypt issues SSL/TLS certificates automatically and free of charge. EDIS handles issuance, validation and regular automatic renewal.

Operating an SSL certificate costs €14.40 per year per certificate unless this service is already included in your hosting plan. The Let’s Encrypt certificates themselves are free. If you need help with setup, our support team is available by telephone or email.

SSL/TLS encrypts the connection between your visitors’ browsers and your web server. This protects transmitted data from interception. HTTPS can also support search engine optimisation, but it does not guarantee a particular position in search results.

Note: Let’s Encrypt certificates do not include insurance coverage. They are domain-based. Extended Validation (EV) certificates are not offered.
