My role at EDIS:
Senior Linux Systems Engineer.

I have been keeping our servers running smoothly since 2007. I usually look after a system throughout its working life. Technical requirements change constantly, so I experiment with new technologies, help develop new product lines and squeeze out every last bit of performance.

The job is never boring. There is always something new to discover, tinker with and try out. Sometimes an unexpected problem appears as well. I learn something new every day.

An EDIS product I would recommend:
Virtualisation products in general, and KVM in particular—you can do almost anything with it.

I enjoy:
I am a science-fiction and TV-series fan. My top three are Doctor Who, Sherlock Holmes and Westworld. I also enjoy photography and driving through the streets of Los Santos in GTA Online on my PS4.

A few years ago, I discovered my enthusiasm for electric mobility. I run a small electric car-sharing project in Graz.

My favourite music:
Film scores and electronic music. Spotify is always on, usually playing Hans Zimmer, Howard Shore, Alexandre Desplat, Ólafur Arnalds, Murray Gold, Daft Punk or Alan Walker.

My favourite food:
Hummus, preferably spicy, all kinds of salads and, last but not least, pizza.

A place I would like to visit:
Toronto, Canada.

Something I would like to do:
Bungee jumping.
